Social Policy
I thought it would be a good idea to put together some house rule for SWT. So here goes…
Email
Please feel free to drop me an email, this seems to be the way we all communicate nowadays…fast, easy and you should get a reply pretty sharpish.
Twitter
If you want to get a better idea of my interests and who I am, start following me on Twitter.
Facebook
If we know each other in some capacity, please do add me on Facebook. Sorry – but I’ll only add people who I have some relationship with. It’s a personal social networking site, so I like to have actually met or spoken to people.
Linked In
I’m a big fan of Linked In – it’s very handy for professional networking and keeping in touch with people. Please do feel free to add me on here.
Phone
The good old way. We don’t do enough of this anymore. Please do give me a call, text or leave a voice mail.
PR Approaches
Feel free to send me approaches. As with media relations, it would be nice to have some form of relationship prior, so please get in contact using one of the methods above. This is a blog about PR, social media, digital stuff and employability – so please make it relevant.
Jobs/Internships
A lot of SWT readers are either PR students, those looking to get into the industry or graduates who are making their way within PR. I’ll happily post paid internships and job vacancies that may appeal to these groups. I insist that the internships must be paid on ethical grounds – I find it morally questionable that organisations may charge clients a fee, yet get someone in to work for free.
Disclaimer
The boring bit, but still necessary (a bit like tax returns). SWT is my personal blog and subsequently all the views expressed are mine and nowt to do with my employer.
