My name is Eoghan O’Neill and I’m helping to organise a social media conference for the 30th of November. I was wondering if you’d be free and interested in being a speaker at it?
We have some exciting speakers lined up including Conor Lynch of connector360 and I felt you’d be a good fit, considering your for chill.ie and indeed.
You can see further details below. If you’re interested in speaking at the congregation just send me back a message saying ‘yes’ and we can go from there.
Price of admission is a blog post (see details below) but you have time until the end of next week to put it together.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Eoghan
Congregation is a social media gathering taking place on November 30th in Cong (www.congregation.ie). Its an un-conference in that everyone is a speaker with 100 presenters in 7 venues over 4 sessions. You cannot buy a ticket and must blog your way in. All the blog posts go up on the Congregation site and become an eBook after the conference.
There are four broad blog themes – a how to do something in social media, research (either original or curated), a social story of how a business is using social media and finally a social media rant or perspective on social media. The conference is targeting a balance of academics, practitioners, businesses and the provocateurs who spark debate. Congregation uses a huddle structure for the presentations. Each huddle is made up of 10 people with 3 presentations delivered at each one in social venues throughout the village. There will be four sessions (two in the morning and two in the afternoon) with people rotating venues and huddles after each session.
Congregation aims to create a really rich engagement environment driven by the sharing of insights. Everyone has equal status (having earned their place) and the event is free. You pay with your insights.
I would really love if you could participate – entry price is a blog post – full details on the site – of 600 words, 100 word summary, biog of writer, contact details, photo and the 4 takeaways.
