Starting at Indeed

I’m thrilled to say that today I began my role as Content Marketing Manager at Indeed – the world’s most comprehensive search engine for jobs. As is tradition, I marked the occasion with a blog post detailing some of my thoughts, hopes and feelings (if you’re interested, here’s my previous posts about joining Edelman, moving to its Dublin office and more recently Chill Insurance).

Indeed is one of the world’s largest web companies and number one at what they do – with over 140 million unique web visitors and billions of job searches each month. The company opened its EMEA HQ in Grand Canal, Dublin last year and the area is an incredibly vibrant, exciting and innovative development with Google, Facebook and LinkedIn all located in the vicinity. It’s a part of town without parallel on this side of the Atlantic Ocean and Europe’s equivalent of Silicon Valley, so it’ll be a contrast to working in the sleepy village of Blackrock. The company celebrated even more good news today with the announcement that the EMEA HQ in Dublin will double in size with the creation of 100 more jobs.

This really is a fantastic opportunity for me and I can’t wait to begin developing content that helps Indeed achieve its business goals. In terms of the role itself, i’ll be getting involved with content development which is something I both enjoy and am passionate about. There’s also the opportunity  to take on more responsibility and work with and learn from a fantastic team of digital marketers at a company with a global reach. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone, learning lots and carving out a career at Indeed.

As I begin this new chapter I’m feeling excited, optimistic and refreshed after a week off work and attending the Web Summit. In short, this is a tremendous chance and I can’t wait to get started. Today is my first day. Wish me luck.
